Senior Technical Recruiter

Position Overview:

Patch is growing rapidly, and we need to increase our recruitment team to help service our new and expanding client base! We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Recruiter with a background in a recruitment agency environment to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and brings a proven track record of handling tough-to-fill roles. Rather than relying on passive applicants, you excel at active, headhunting-style sourcing. Your core expertise will lie in partnering with large enterprise clients, managing a energetic mix of high-volume sourcing and boutique niche searches.

Location:

- Hybrid Role: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in-office in Oakville. Monday and Friday optional remote.

Responsibilities:

- Write and post technical job descriptions.
- Drive proactive sourcing strategies (not passive applications) using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter as well as our ATS.
- Update and maintain all records in our ATS in regards to candidates and the lifecyle of their job application.
- Parse specialized skills and qualifications to screen IT resumes.
- Perform pre-screening calls to analyze applicants’ abilities.
- Interview candidates using various methods (e.g., structured interviews, technical assessments, and behavioral questions).
- Coordinate with internal teams and hiring managers to forecast department goals and hiring needs.
- Craft and send personalized, highly targeted recruiting emails for open positions.
- Use all available tools to connect with potential candidates. Phone, SMS, email and LinkedIn InMail and messaging.
- Operate as the primary point of contact for assigned enterprise clients.
- Service multiple enterprise clients concurrently,



balancing high-volume needs with boutique searches.
- Identify opportunities to grow business and expand partnerships with existing clients.

Requirements and Skills:

- Mandatory background working within a recruitment agency environment.
- Proven work experience as a Technical Recruiter or IT Recruiter with at least 5 years of experience.
- A proven track record of successfully handling tough-to-fill roles through active search methods and direct headhunting.
- Experience balancing a mix of high-volume sourcing and boutique, specialized searches for large enterprise clients.
- Hands-on experience with various interview formats (e.g., phone, Google Meets, MS Teams, and Zoom).
- Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain complex job requirements for IT roles.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems, resume databases, and deep proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Solid knowledge of advanced sourcing techniques, including Boolean search and social media recruiting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- BSc in Human Resources Management, IT, or a relevant degree.
