Compensation and Benefits
The expected base salary range for this position, when hired into our Toronto location, is CAD $92,610 - $113,190 per year. For positions based in other jurisdictions, compensation will be determined in alignment with local regulations, market benchmarks, and internal compensation frameworks. The above range reflects the typical base salary range for candidates hired into this position. The actual salary will vary depending on a number of factors, including job location, experience, qualifications, education/training, skills,
market conditions, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in our annual incentive program, payment under which is at the discretion of PartnerRe and subject to individual and company performance.

About the Job
We have an opening for an Actuarial Associate in the Corporate Actuarial Reporting team in the Toronto office reporting to the Manager, Corporate Actuarial responsible for Solvency II and Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) reporting.
Carry out quarterly SII and BMA valuation for North America Life lines of business
Derive Best Estimate Reserves and Required Capital for life, longevity, critical illness, disability and short-term products
Conduct Reserve and Required Capital Movement Analysis
Maintenance and updating of AXIS models for new and existing treaties across multiple legal entities and affiliated party retrocession treaties for capital reporting purpose
Investigate and implement process improvements and enhancements
Coordinate with risk, finance, auditors as required
About You
Experience modeling in AXIS is preferred
Experience in capital reporting is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel
SQL programming skill is preferred
Experience working in the reinsurance industry is preferred
Ability to maintain effective control environment
Ability to communicate with peers and staff
Ability to work effectively in a team workplace
High degree of accountability
Ability to handle multiple assignments communicating prioritizations to required levels
Highest degree of professional ethics
Solid interpersonal skills & effective communicator (written and oral)
At least one year of actuarial work experience
Bachelor’s Degree
At least three actuarial exams
