Salary Range
$32.04 per hour (with wage increments to a max of $36.06 per hour). Salary and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

What It Takes
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Biology
Public Speaking ability
Excellent working knowledge of the operation and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and apparatus together with good working knowledge of safety measures related to the operation of the Biology laboratory, including GHS ( WHMIS )
Good working knowledge of English (written and verbal).
A demonstrated ability to:
communicate courteously and effectively in person, in writing and over the telephone with students, faculty, administrators, staff, and the public.
work independently with minimum direct supervision.
maintain current knowledge in the field of biology.
Additional Information
These temporary part-time (one at 11 hour per week and one at 17.5 hours per week) 8 month positions are available starting August 31, 2026 to April 30, 2027.
Regular hours of work are Monday to Friday 9:00am – 4:30 pm. Shift days and times may change depending on the Department’s need. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required.
The position is located at the New Westminster campus; however, successful candidate must be available for occasional work at the Coquitlam campus.
