About the Position As a QC Planner, you are responsible for coordinating assets to satisfy the needs of clients, drivers and the company. Your key role as Planner is to accurately predict availability and potential of assets in your assigned region, and properly acquire freight to effectively utilize those assets in the best of interest of the company. You are a natural problem solver that realizes opportunities and communicates them in a thorough and timely fashion with all co-workers.
Specific Responsibilities Establish and forecast customer needs and demands. Corporate accounts will involve monitoring, forecasting and servicing the client’s needs on a regular basis.
Establish resource availability through analysis of the drivers, tractors and trailers in their region and interpret what restrictions and opportunities they present.
Assemble the overall strategy by taking all relevant information, developing a plan and communicating it in an effective and timely manner to the Fleet Manager for execution.
Contribute to an workplace where customers/operations can comfortably and confidently communicate their transportation needs.
Support the Operations team in an effort to achieve departmental objectives.
Involvement in issues outside of their region or regular scope of duties is required.
Identify trouble situations and constructively react to those that cannot be foreseen.
Exchange of relevant information such as business trends, customer issues and opportunities.
Handle customer inquiries off the general queue in a pleasant and efficient manner.
Engage in other projects and activities as is necessary to the position and as assigned by the City Operation Supervisor.
Our Ideal Candidate 1-3 years of previous transportation or logistics experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Demonstrated skills in aligning goals with strategic direction to achieve targeted business results.
Proven team player with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and to develop and maintain collaborative working relationship.
Strong knowledge of company goals, work direction and practices.
This position is subject to a Continental day shift, 06:00 - 18:00 ET, on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.
