All hiring decisions are reviewed and made by qualified hiring professionals.Zurich follows a hybrid work model requiring three days per week of in‐person presence, which may include time in the office or market‐facing engagements.What you will doProvides support for finalization and agreement of category management savings plansEnsure execution of category management savings plans and improving the increase in managed spend as part of those plans, by providing overall visibility of progress and ensuring escalated issues are dealt with in a timely and appropriate mannerManage country savings commitments as per the business caseWork together with business units to understand and manage savings commitmentsServe as the PSCM Manager (Procurement & Supply Management) for Canada, fostering and maintaining excellent relationships with local business units so as to understand and manage savings commitments plus provide the business units with support to maximize the opportunities for savings and value from the BPO arrangementEnsure all aspects of compliance, performance, planning and category management are optimized,



that escalations are resolved in a timely manner and that roadblocks to meeting performance targets are removedTranslate business objectives into clearly defined business cases, costs or schedules in order to support achievement of business plans and effective supplier managementDeliver project, program and change management initiatives by leading project teams, and lead the implementation of projects in this area to deliver defined sourcing/procurement objectives with allocated resources and in timescales typically of less than one yearMonitor consistent non‐compliance issues escalated by other team members and highlight patterns for senior members of the team to address. Work with colleagues in the wider function and other functions (Legal, Risk etc.) to drive ongoing improvement of sourcing governance frameworks and ensure regulatory and legal compliance obligations are being metEvaluate the most complex customer issues and analyze key themes from a wide range of internal and external data sources to develop bespoke technical solutions and develop robust supplier account plans using this insight to enable the sourcing function to meet customer needsLead the implementation of system and process improvements in own area, contribute to development of sourcing/procurement strategy, and implement business processes and manage performance across all activities in order to achieve business objectives and continuously improve performanceBuild strong relationships with business stakeholders and vendors/suppliers to ensure internal customers are satisfied with sourcing services and deals and take action to support business customers where customer service standards fall below the expectedDevelop and manage ongoing relationships with key stakeholders/customers to identify and deliver solutions that benefit both partiesLead key parts of substantial sourcing deals and negotiate directly with suppliers, or lead operational procurement teams at a local level,



to ensure the business receives value for money and the right levels of serviceJob QualificationsRequired:Bachelors Degree8 or more years of experience in the Procurement areaORHigh School Diploma or Equivalent10 or more years of experience in the Procurement areaPreferred:Influencer Externally Focused – The job's core deliverables rely on influencing or negotiating with external contacts. Relationships typically involve successful collaboration on routine matters and/or with peer‐level clients and/or customers.PayWe are committed to pay equity.
