About the Program

Regional Perioperative Education Program (RPEP) is a post‑basic training education program offered by Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) to enhance nursing practice. The program provides full‑time training, with 100% wages, tuition and books paid during the training period.

Training Schedule

- Orientation: 1 November 2026
- Full‑time training: 9 November 2026 – 18 December 2026
- Break: 21 December 2026 – 1 January 2027 (vacation, personal days, or unpaid time off)
- Continuation: 4 January 2027 – 26 March 2028 (dates may be modified based on previous courses completed, VCH only funds required courses)

Requirements & Commitment

Applicants must attend the training full‑time and agree to remain with VCH as a regular status nurse in the area of nursing applicable to the education program for at least 18 months following completion of training. In the event a nurse leaves the applicable nursing area or VCH within 18 months, VCH will recover the cost of the program.

Compensation

Salary range: CAD $41.42/Hr. – CAD $55.91/Hr.

Location





Training and post‑training consolidation will be located at Richmond Hospital. The work site after training will also be at Richmond Hospital.
