Position
Contaminated Sites Project Manager – Remediation Program Management (RPM), based in Kingston / Toronto / London / Ottawa.
Overview
Lead and manage contaminated site remediation projects, working on hazardous waste removal, monitoring, and remediation of sites impacted by hydrocarbons, fertilizers, metals, etc. Manage risk, client relationships, field work, budgets, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive and safe environment for colleagues.
- Lead a project team and take on responsibilities including preparing health and safety plans, emergency response plans, proposals, cost estimates, scheduling field staff, report writing, project accounting, and tracking.
- Train and mentor junior staff, including environmental practices, Phase I & II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, remediation and site‑specific health and safety.
- Manage client relationships and collaborate across the national RPM team.
- Develop a personal career development plan and set goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (sciences or engineering).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in contaminated site assessments.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures and a safety‑conscious attitude.
- Analytical mindset to provide recommendations for client sites.
- Business acumen and financial management experience, including developing, tracking, and forecasting on annual budgets.
- Experience with soil and groundwater sampling, remediation, Phase I & II ESAs, and provincial regulations.
- Knowledge of Ontario Environmental regulations.
- Professional designation preferred.
- Experience in the oil and gas sector is an asset.
Compensation
- AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $89,800 – $118,900
- MB & ON: $81,900 – $112,800
- NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $81,100 – $107,700
