Job Description:

A well-established, rapidly growing BC-based consulting and engineering organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its finance team in North Vancouver.

With 300+ employees across British Columbia and backing from a respected private equity partner, the company is entering an exciting phase of growth following the recent merger of two longstanding industry leaders. Serving clients across infrastructure, environmental, forestry, energy, utilities, and resource sectors, the organization offers the stability of an established business with the momentum and opportunity of a growing enterprise.

Reporting to the Controller and working closely with the CFO, this role will oversee a team of four accounting professionals while taking ownership of the accounting function, month-end close, and financial reporting processes.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead and mentor a team of 4 accounting staff
- Manage the full accounting cycle and month-end close process
- Prepare month-end and year-end financial statements and reporting packages
- Review and post accruals, intercompany transactions, and journal entries
- Maintain general ledger integrity and balance sheet reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting activities
- Ensure timely government remittances and regulatory compliance
- Partner closely with operations and business services teams to support accurate project billings
- Assist with payroll reconciliations and year-end requirements as needed
- Support the annual audit and year-end review process
- Drive process improvements, workflow efficiencies, and AP automation initiatives
- Play a key role in ongoing ERP optimization and finance transformation projects

Requirements:

What We're Looking For

- CPA designation preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance,



or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong experience with full-cycle accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing accounting teams
- Knowledge of ASPE and internal controls
- Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP experience
- Experience within consulting, skilled services, engineering, or project-based environments is considered an asset
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint and/or ADP is an advantage
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
