Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for promoting high quality care through assessing, planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating the total care needs of our patients/residents/clients (P/R/Cs). The RN is required to coordinate with all the departments within the facility, families and professionals associated with P/R/Cs care. The RN must promote effective communication in the facility through care given and reporting mechanisms. The RN is expected to participate in staff meetings and educational opportunities to maintain their own skilled competence.

Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Licenses
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
Other Education and Training
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable

- Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice
- Interpersonal skills
Knowledge and Abilities
- Ability to make decisions, which must include coordination of staffing
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to competently use computers and software applications
- Ability to make decisions on patient care and coordination of equipment
- Ability to keep effective work relationships with clients of diverse backgrounds
- Ability to communicate with clients from diverse backgrounds

- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives
- Scheduled hours of work may be reduced when a statutory holiday is recognized
