Job Title: Cybersecurity Analyst

What you will be doing:
Manage, administer, maintain, and monitor Fortinet security technologies, including firewalls and related network-security tools
Support the planning, design, implementation, and ongoing management of network-segmentation initiatives
Manage and administer intrusion detection and prevention systems, firewalls, network devices, and other security-related systems
Perform day-to-day maintenance, configuration, monitoring, and operational management of cybersecurity technologies
Maintain and monitor security sensors and data sources to ensure security events are logged, correlated, reviewed, and escalated appropriately
Monitor Help Desk tickets and respond to cybersecurity-related incidents and service requests
Investigate security alerts, suspected breaches, and other cybersecurity incidents
Participate in cybersecurity incident response activities and act as an escalation point for high-severity incidents
Be available outside regular business hours when required to respond to high-severity cybersecurity incidents
Perform vulnerability assessments, security testing, risk analyses, and technical security reviews
Coordinate and support the remediation of identified vulnerabilities
Secure and monitor Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments
Work closely with the business, software-development team, and CNI team to assess security risks and implement practical security solutions
Provide technical cybersecurity guidance relating to infrastructure, networks, applications, cloud environments, and organizational initiatives
Support compliance with cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements,
and organizational security practices
Assess vendor technologies and services for alignment with organizational data-protection and security requirements
Research emerging threats, security technologies, and technical enhancements, and provide recommendations to management
Contribute to cybersecurity awareness, training, and internal knowledge-sharing activities
Prepare regular reports and technical updates relating to vulnerabilities, incidents, security controls, and the organization’s overall security posture
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, technology partners, vendors, and end users
Provide mentoring and technical support to other team members
Perform other duties as required
What you must have:
Approximately five to six years of progressive, hands-on cybersecurity experience
A strong foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, controls, threats, vulnerabilities, and defensive practices
Demonstrated hands-on expertise with Fortinet technologies, such as FortiGate firewalls and related Fortinet security products
Practical experience with network segmentation, firewall configuration, security zones, access controls, and network-security architecture
Experience maintaining, administering, and managing enterprise cybersecurity tools and infrastructure
At least two years of experience securing and monitoring Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments
Experience with application and infrastructure penetration-testing or vulnerability-assessment tools
Experience investigating security incidents and supporting incident-response and remediation activities
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, network protocols, operating systems, firewalls, cloud services, and enterprise networks
Relevant cybersecurity certifications, such as Fortinet, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, GIAC, Microsoft Security, or comparable credentials
Experience within financial services, insurance, or another regulated industry is preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to identify risks and implement practical solutions
The ability to prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines, and manage changing operational demands
The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure technical environment
Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain cybersecurity risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
A high degree of resourcefulness, adaptability, accountability, and attention to detail
Salary/Rate Range: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00
