Business Analyst

A client of Robert Half is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in the insurance industry to support cross-functional business and technology initiatives. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of business analysis experience, excellent communication skills, and hands-on exposure to insurance processes such as claims, underwriting, policy administration, billing, or customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather and document business requirements, user stories, and process flows
- Analyze current-state workflows and recommend improvements
- Support projects across insurance operations and technology teams
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and UAT activities
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams




- Perform data analysis to support decision-making and reporting

Qualifications

- 5+ years of business analysis experience
- Must have insurance industry experience (P&C;, Life, Health, Group Perks, or similar)
- Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement
- Experience in Agile or hybrid project environments
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills

Nice to Have

- Experience with insurance systems or platforms
- Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, SQL, etc.)
- BA or insurance designations (CBAP, CCBA, PMI‑PBA, CIP, FCIP)
