Our client, a growing multi-location organization in Leduc, AB is seeking an experienced Strategic Human Resources Business Partner to join their collaborative HR team. Reporting to the HR Director, this role will serve as a strategic partner to leaders across the business while supporting employee relations, investigations, leadership coaching, and HR initiatives across multiple locations. Fully on-site role.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to provide strategic HR advice and support across multiple business units.
- Support the HR Director with strategic initiatives and provide leadership in their absence.
- Lead workplace investigations, employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and performance management activities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, employee programs, and handbooks.
- Create training materials and facilitate leadership and employee learning sessions.
- Coach managers on employee relations,
performance management, and employment legislation.
- Develop and administer employee programs including recognition, performance management, and engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Payroll regarding employee compensation, pay changes, and HR administration.
- Interpret Alberta Employment Standards, Human Rights legislation, and other relevant employment legislation while remaining current on legislative changes across Canada.
- Mentor and support members of the HR team while helping prioritize workload and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, programs, and operational efficiencies.
- Support recruitment and HR administration as required.
- Travel regularly to company locations including Calgary, Lloydminster, Winnipeg, and Ottawa to build strong relationships with leaders and employees.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including experience as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Generalist, or HR Manager.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing employee relations and workplace investigations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labour Relations, or a related discipline.
- CPHR designation completed, in progress,
or a strong commitment to obtaining the designation.
- Strong knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards, Human Rights legislation, and employment law.
- Experience developing HR policies, programs, procedures, and employee initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership experience coaching managers and supporting operational leaders.
- Strong understanding of business operations with the ability to balance employee advocacy and organizational objectives.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing priorities, make sound decisions, and work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.
- Valid driver's license with the ability and willingness to travel regularly.
