Duties and Responsibilities:

The Manager, Project Delivery provides strategic and operational leadership for the delivery of a portfolio of capital projects, including facility construction, building upgrades, and renovation initiatives. The role is accountable for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with scope, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

In addition to project delivery oversight, the Manager plays a key role in advancing departmental and University objectives by contributing to capital planning, optimizing program delivery, and strengthening project management practices. This position leads a team of Project Managers and drives performance through data-informed decision-making, risk management, and continuous improvement, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of the University’s program of work.

Qualifications:

The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

- Extensive knowledge of end-to-end construction and capital project cycles
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, collective agreements, the CCDC suite of contracts, RAIC Doc 600 (or OAA 600), Ontario Building Codes and OHSA policies and procedures
- Knowledge of construction and project management and leadership concepts practices including program/service delivery models, policy development, planning, budgeting, and performance measurement management
- Knowledge of Facilities Management and Planning (FMP) as well as the broader university academic units, departments, and divisions
- LEED, Gold Seal, or similar certifications are assets




- Demonstrated experience collaborating with senior leadership on capital planning and resource allocation
- Excellent leadership abilities in the delivery of projects

Education and Experience:

The above is normally acquired through the completion of:

- Completion of bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or related field.
- PMP and/or PgMP designation in positive standing
- Minimum of seven years of previous project management of facility construction, building upgrades, and renovation projects
- Five years of management and leadership experience
