Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal - #5160

Our client, one of Vancouver's most respected law firms, is looking for a Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join their team.

Job Duties

- Oversee the progression of files, including obtaining all relevant documentation and coordinating the settlement process.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, gathering information related to their claims.
- Draft, file, and serve pleadings and application materials.
- Conduct legal research.
- Assist with Chambers appearances and trial preparation.
- Monitor and maintain limitation dates and diarize key deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Paralegal Diploma.
- Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA) Diploma, together with 3–5 years of litigation experience.
- Exceptional organizational and document management skills with robust attention to detail.
- Demonstrated fact investigation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, internet applications,



and case management software.
- Advanced database management knowledge.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage responsibilities effectively in an unstructured work environment.
- Self-directed with the confidence to exercise sound judgment and make recommendations independently.
- Proven ability to prioritize competing tasks and deliver work within established timelines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Sound business judgment, including the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
