Summary

As a Dispatcher/Planner, you will be integral to the operations team, ensuring efficient communication and coordination within the supply chain. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your core skills in data entry, analysis, proficiency in transportation management systems, and freight management will be essential for optimizing transportation processes. Your ability to handle email, multi-line phone systems, and manage shipping and receiving tasks will further support our commitment to delivering exceptional service. Key Responsibilities:

- Match drivers, trucks, and trailers to specific orders based on load requirements.
- Ensure drivers are adhering to hours of service and rest requirements.
- Collaborate with mechanics for equipment availability and regular preventative maintenance.
- Provide trailer loading instructions and plan routes, ensuring all delivery instructions are clear and complete.
- Manage communication with drivers, including providing trip instructions and responding to inquiries.
- Enter customer orders into the Truck Mate system and confirm these with customers.




- Track outbound and inbound deliveries, addressing service issues as they arise.
- Contact customers to minimize empty miles through “fill orders.”
- Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:

- Proficient computer skills.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar logistics or transportation role.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Solid multitasking and prioritization abilities.
- Professional demeanor and effective communication skills with teams, drivers, and customers.
- Extensive knowledge of transportation planning, organization, and distribution.
- Being bilingual would be an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
