Job Summary
This is a backfill opportunity supporting BAU, day-to-day operations within a close-knit team of approximately 20 people. The role involves a collaborative environment with a 2-week training period and offers growth opportunities. The position operates in a high-risk compliance environment, requires high attention to detail and accuracy, and involves internal communication including some phone interaction. The contractor will have access to customer data.
Key Responsibilities
- Process mutual fund trades and settlements.
- Investigate and resolve transaction breaks and discrepancies.
- Handle FundSERV transactions and money movements.
- Use Excel macros to support operational processes.
- Provide customer service and respond to inquiries.
- Maintain compliance with operational and regulatory procedures.
- Participate in a 15-minute daily huddle meeting.
Required Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, formulas, pivots, macros)
- Banking/Financial experience
- Tech savvy ability to pick up internal systems quickly
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
- Strong communication skills
- Quick learner
Preferred Skills
- Trade settlements experience
Education Requirements
- University degree in Finance or related field required
Required Experience
- 5 years of overall experience preferred; flexible based on candidate profile
- Background in banking, financial services, or mutual funds strongly preferred
