We're looking for an experienced, dependable Automotive Rust Repair Technician to join our growing team.

This position is ideal for someone who already has experience in an auto body shop or a similar automotive environment and is looking to earn additional income with flexible scheduling. Many of our technicians perform repairs during evenings or weekends around an existing full-time job.

Work is performed at customer homes and workplaces throughout Calgary and surrounding communities, so you'll enjoy a variety of work locations instead of spending every day inside the same shop.

## Responsibilities

As an Automotive Rust Repair Technician, you will:

* Travel to customer locations to perform rust repair and corrosion prevention services.

* Inspect rust damage and discuss repairs with customers.

* Remove rust using grinders, sanders and other automotive tools.

* Apply rust converters, rust inhibitors and cavity wax.

* Repair rust damage using automotive body filler.

* Sand and shape repaired areas in preparation for refinishing.

* Mask vehicles and apply automotive primer, colour coat and explicit coat.

* Apply automotive undercoating products.

* Take before and after photographs of completed repairs.

* Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean and organized.

* Represent the company professionally while working directly with customers.

## Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

* Previous experience working in an auto body shop, automotive refinishing,



automotive painting, or a similar hands-on automotive role.

* Experience using automotive body filler, sanding and refinishing techniques.

* Confidence using automotive hand tools and power tools.

* Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.

* The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

* Excellent customer service and communication skills.

* A valid Class 5 driver's licence.

* **A reliable personal vehicle that can be used to travel to customer appointments throughout Calgary and surrounding areas.**

* The physical ability to lift approximately 50 lbs and work in a variety of weather conditions.

Work is scheduled based on customer appointments, allowing you to accept jobs that fit your availability.
