Role Description
This full-time, on-site Pharmacist role is based in St Catharines, ON.
The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing patient counseling on prescriptions and over-the-counter products, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting prescriptions, performing clinical assessments such as medication reviews, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
The role includes supervising pharmacy assistants and technicians, managing inventory, and supporting the implementation of pharmacy programs and health services.
The Pharmacist will contribute to a positive customer experience by delivering compassionate, professional, and efficient pharmacy services.
Qualifications
- Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the appropriate provincial regulatory body and eligible to practice in Ontario.
- Robust clinical knowledge of pharmacotherapy, drug interactions, and medication management, including experience with patient counseling and medication reviews.
- Proficiency with pharmacy dispensing systems, prescription processing, and pharmacy workflow in a retail or community setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear, empathetic guidance to patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, sound professional judgment, and commitment to regulatory compliance, patient safety, and confidentiality.
- Ability to lead and support pharmacy staff, manage priorities in a fast-paced environment, and deliver consistent, customer-focused service.
- Experience with immunization services, health promotion clinics, and other pharmacy-based clinical programs is an asset.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as required by the store’s operating hours.
