AGT Foods is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join our Regina Head Office - Canada Corporate Safety Team.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage the implementation of Safety Programs and ensure all legislative and regulatory requirements are met.
- Provide safety leadership to all safety reps, committees, management and employees and other affected groups in the implementation of safety programs.
- Lead investigations into accidents, injuries, or near-misses.
- Research and make recommendations for fostering safety culture.
- Perform routine inspections and audits of workplaces in Canada.
- Evaluate practices, procedures, equipment and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law propose budget allocations to locations/equipment based on safety risk.
- Create and present safety communications that foster an awareness of health and safety practices (bulletins, webinars, events, summits and meetings).
