HYROX COACH

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable HYROX Coach to lead high-energy, performance-driven training sessions for leading a group fitness class at Country Hills and Douglasdale Location.The coach will deliver structured workouts that combine endurance, functional strength, and race-specific conditioning while ensuring safety, proper technique, and motivation for athletes of varying abilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Coach and manage HYROX training sessions.

- Deliver workouts aligned with HYROX race standards (running, sled push/pull, wall balls, lunges, carries, etc.)

- Demonstrate and cue proper technique for functional movements and race stations

- Scale exercises appropriately for different fitness levels within the same session

- Monitor athletes simultaneously for form, intensity, and safety

- Maintain session flow, timing, and energy in a fast-paced group workplace

- Provide motivation, encouragement, and performance feedback during workouts

- Set up and break down equipment efficiently

- Foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive training atmosphere

- Uphold gym standards for cleanliness, professionalism, and athlete experience





Required Qualifications

- Experience coaching group fitness or small group performance training.

- Strong understanding of functional fitness, endurance training, and conditioning.

- Is open to competing in a HYROX race for the experience, or has previously participated in one.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills

- CPR/AED certified (or willing to obtain)

Preferred Qualifications

- HYROX coaching experience or competitive participation
- Background in CrossFit, functional fitness, endurance sports, or strength & conditioning
- Personal training or group fitness certification
- Experience coaching mixed-ability groups

Physical & Coaching Demands

- Ability to demonstrate movements and remain active throughout sessions

- Strong presence and voice to command group attention

- Comfortable coaching in high-intensity environments
