BCAT is recruiting Governors for its Local Governing Bodies, specifically at three schools: The Charles Dickens School, Barton Manor School, and Barton Court Grammar School.

You don't need qualifications; instead, bring a proactive attitude, relevant experience, and a commitment to attend key meetings.

Governors ensure the effectiveness of leadership and strategic planning in schools.

Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in 6 annual meetings, each about 2 hours
• Perform 2-3 monitoring visits each school year




• Engage in training courses relevant to governance
• Review board documents ahead of meetings
• Attend school events as able

Requirements:
• Experience in engaging with diverse colleagues
• Ability to provide constructive challenges and solutions
• Understanding the importance of educational success
• Willingness to commit time to the role
