We are currently hiring a dependable and experienced Clamp Operator on behalf of our client located in North York, ON. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a counterbalance sit-down clamp forklift to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently. This role demands strong attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work in a quick-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate clamp forklifts to handle materials
- Load and unload goods from trucks, storage areas, and production lines
- Ensure products are transported without damage and stored in proper locations
- Conduct daily equipment checks and report any issues or maintenance requirements
- Follow all safety protocols and workplace procedures
- Assist with inventory control by tracking the movement of materials accurately
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Clamp Operator or in a similar role
- Valid forklift license/certification required
- Familiarity with clamp trucks and warehouse safety standards
- Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy items
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Bilingual in English and Filipino is preferred
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Pay: $22.00 per hour
