Victoria Kitchen is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Pastry Assistant to join our culinary team. This role involves supporting the preparation and decoration of a variety of baked goods and desserts, ensuring high-quality presentation and adherence to food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in decorating, baking and food preparation. Responsibilities

- Assist in preparing a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision using various cake decorating techniques and an assortment of icings
- Support food preparation activities including mixing, baking, and assembling baked goods
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations




- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils
- Follow food safety protocols at all times to ensure the health and safety of customers and staff

Requirements

- Previous experience in baking, cake decorating, or working in a restaurant or food service environment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices within the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to engage positively with team members
- A passion for baking and culinary arts with a willingness to learn new skills and techniques
- 5:30am start time

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
