Kitchen Staff

-SkyTeam Lounge Operated by Global Lounge Network– Vancouver Airport-

Responsibilities may include:

- Receive orders from vendors, load and unload deliveries and put away products to storage areas.
- Stock supplies in assigned location upon delivery including refrigerators and freezers.
- Prepare hot and cold food, salads, sandwiches, snack and desserts for buffet area
- Ensure a clean work station and all storage areas including refrigerators and freezers. Clean kitchen equipment after use.
- Load and unload dishes, glassware, kitchen, food preparation equipment, and utensils using dishwashing machine.
- Assist in the cleaning of kitchen equipment as required.
- Maintain stock levels, dates and rotates and checks temperature of product.
- Take inventory for ordering of food and supplies.
- Ensure all operating activities follow company policies and procedures.
- Follow proper hygiene standards and ensure high levels of cleanliness in accordance to Provincial Policies and maintain compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements

- Must have open availability (required shift: 15:30-23:30, 23:00-0700)
- 1 to 2 years working experience in the kitchen
- Basic English proficiency
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Evening, weekend and holidays work as required




- A flexible schedule is preferred
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Experience working in YVR Airport is an asset
- Food Safety Certified is required

Position Type

Full time (40HOURS) and Part time (24HOURS)

- Salary: C$20.50 ~21.00 / hour. Salary increase will be reviewed after probation period ends.
- Graveyard shift: 11:30 pm to 7:30 am. Additional $1/hour (night-premium pay)
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada, have valid work permit.
- Availability required for graveyard shifts from 23:30–07:30. Including 15:30-23:30.
- Required to obtain 5-year security clearance to obtain RAIC in order to work at YVR Airport.
