Peace Country Rentals & Sales Inc. has proudly served Northeastern BC since 1977. We are looking for a hardworking, dependable Yard Hand to join our team in Fort St. John.
This is a physically active position best suited for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in keeping equipment organized and presentable, and isn't afraid of hard work.
Preference will be given to applicants who currently reside in Fort St. John or the surrounding area. This position is not suitable for students, as it requires full-time availability and regular overtime.
What You'll Do
- Wash, clean, fuel, and prepare rental equipment.
- Load and unload customer equipment safely.
- Assist customers in the yard.
- Organize and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance.
- Assist mechanics and other departments as required.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment (training provided where applicable).
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (considered an asset).
- Equipment or construction experience is considered an asset but is not required.
Schedule & Overtime
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Monday to Saturday schedule.
- Daily and weekly overtime available.
- Applicants must be willing and able to work overtime when required.
