About Us
Helmand Kabab House is a well-established Afghan restaurant serving fresh, flavorful kababs, rice dishes, and traditional specialties. We're hiring Kitchen Staff to support our cooking and food prep team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients (chopping vegetables, marinating meats, prepping sauces) following recipes and portion guidelines
- Assist cooks with grilling, frying, and plating dishes
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen station
- Monitor food stock and inform management of low supplies
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Support during high-volume periods and catering orders
Requirements
- Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced, team environment
- Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 30 lbs
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
