Security Officer

Location: Toronto, Oakville, Mississauga
Shift: Days, Afternoons, Weekends, and Holidays as Required

Job Summary

We are currently seeking professional, reliable, and customer-focused Security Officers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure and secure environment through mobile patrols, foot patrols, CCTV monitoring, and incident response. This role requires strong observation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to respond effectively to security-related situations.

Candidates must possess a valid Ontario Security Guard License, a valid G Class Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract, and have access to a reliable personal vehicle, as travel between sites and mobile patrol duties may be required.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular foot patrols of assigned properties to identify and report safety or security concerns.
- Perform mobile patrols of designated sites and parking areas using a personal vehicle when required.
- Monitor CCTV systems and security equipment to detect suspicious activities and security breaches.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, incidents, and requests for assistance.
- Complete detailed incident, occurrence, and daily activity reports.
- Enforce site policies, procedures, and access control protocols.
- Investigate and document security incidents, accidents, and unusual occurrences.
- Monitor entrances, exits,



and restricted areas to prevent unauthorized access.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional security presence.
- Liaise with emergency services, management, and law enforcement when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and client requirements.

RequirementsMandatory Qualifications

- Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Valid G Class Driver's License.
- Clean Driver's Abstract.
- Reliable personal vehicle (required).
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certification (preferred).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Experience & Skills

- Minimum 3-4 years of security experience preferred.
- Experience conducting mobile patrols and foot patrols.
- Experience monitoring CCTV surveillance systems.
- Strong report writing and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
- Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of access control systems and security procedures is an asset.

- Security Guard Licence (required)

Work Location: In person

Pay: $17.60-$25.00 per hour
