As a Nurse Next Door Caregiver, your role is to Make Lives Better by:

- Keeping each client’s safety, comfort, well-being, and overall quality of life at the heart of the care you provide
- Showing empathy, patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to support others
- Applying effective problem-solving skills to offer practical, thoughtful, and appropriate assistance
- Following through on your commitments and developing trusted relationships with clients and members of the care team
- Providing consistently high-quality care and going beyond expectations, including when working independently

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparing meals, completing light housekeeping tasks, offering companionship, and assisting with personal care needs
- Providing services in accordance with the personalized care plan prepared by the Care Designer




- Supporting clients with Activities of Daily Living within the permitted scope of a non-registered care provider
- Helping maintain a safe and comfortable home environment and ensuring equipment is operated properly
- Assisting clients with mobility, transfers, and assigned or prescribed exercises
- Performing all responsibilities safely and confidently within your education, training, experience, abilities, and level of competence
- Completing all required documentation and care records accurately and within the required timelines

Availability:

- Adaptable availability is required
- Part-time and full-time opportunities may be available
- Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnight care, weekends, and other hours, as services are delivered 24 hours a day

Caregiver Requirements:

- Two professional references
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Optional: enrolled in or graduated from a caregiver, Personal Support Worker, or other relevant health care program
- A clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening completed within the last 12 months
- A negative tuberculosis test completed within the last two years
- Valid documentation confirming relevant health care education, training, qualifications, or certification
- A valid Ontario G2 or G driver’s licence
- Reliable access to a vehicle for travelling to clients’ homes

- Criminal Record/Vulnerable Screening Sector ( <1 Year) (preferred)
