DESCRIPTION GÉNÉRALE :Le responsable chez Corient jouera un rôle de leader au sein d'une équipe spécialisée agissant en tant que conseiller de confiance auprès de clients très fortunés. Il travaillera directement avec les clients pour leur fournir des conseils d'expert sur des questions financières complexes, en mettant l'accent sur la planification patrimoniale globale, la stratégie fiscale et les projets spéciaux.Outre le conseil direct aux clients, le directeur contribuera aux efforts de croissance de l'entreprise, en prospectant de nouveaux clients, en développant un réseau de conseillers de confiance et en participant à des événements en tant qu'ambassadeur de Corient.PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS :Le responsable est principalement chargé de :Assurer la gestion des relations avec les clients très fortunés, en prenant souvent en charge l'ensemble de la relation client.Diriger des initiatives de planification complexes, en mettant l'accent sur la planification financière, la stratégie fiscale, la succession et les investissements, afin d'assurer une gestion proactive et globale des besoins des clients.Faire preuve d'un jugement avisé et respecter une discrétion stricte lors du traitement d'informations sensibles et des questions relatives aux clients.Contribuer aux initiatives de croissance de l'entreprise en participant activement au développement commercial et à la prospection afin de favoriser l'acquisition de nouveaux clients.Superviser et entretenir les relations avec les conseillers externes, notamment les fiscalistes, les conseillers en investissement, les conseillers juridiques, les banquiers et les assureurs.Élaborer et mettre en œuvre des stratégies patrimoniales sur mesure, alignées sur les objectifs de chaque client, en mettant l'accent sur la planification à long terme et la préservation du patrimoine.Gérer les obligations de reporting financier au quotidien, en fournissant des rapports et des analyses personnalisés qui reflètent les besoins spécifiques de chaque client.Coordonner les processus de conformité comptable et fiscale, en collaborant étroitement avec les comptables et les avocats afin de garantir l'exactitude et le respect des délais.Favoriser un environnement de travail collaboratif en soutenant activement les collègues, en partageant les connaissances et en contribuant à la résolution collective des problèmes.Encadrer et accompagner les membres juniors de l'équipe (collaborateurs et analystes), en leur fournissant un retour d'information continu, un soutien au développement professionnel et des conseils afin d'améliorer leurs performances et de favoriser leur évolution.FORMATION ET EXPÉRIENCE REQUISES :Titulaire du titre de CPA ou de CFA avec plus de 10 ans d'expérience post-accréditation. Les candidats au titre de CPA doivent également être titulaires d'un CFA ou d'un CIM et être éligibles à l'inscription en tant que « représentant-conseil » auprès de la commission provinciale des valeurs mobilières compétente. Les candidats au titre de CFA doivent en outre être titulaires d'un titre de planification avancée (par exemple, CFP ou TEP) ou démontrer une expertise avancée en planification financière.Capacité avérée à diriger des missions de planification complexes,



à travailler en collaboration avec des professionnels externes et à guider les clients vers des décisions éclairées.Connaissances avérées dans les domaines de la planification financière (en particulier la planification fiscale) et de la stratégie d'investissement.Compétences avérées dans la gestion d'un large éventail de projets spéciaux, avec une approche pragmatique et axée sur les solutions.Une approche pratique et la volonté de s'attaquer à tous les projets, petits ou grands, et d'apporter une contribution significative à tous les niveaux.Solides compétences en gestion de projet, sens de l'organisation et souci du détail.Des compétences exceptionnelles en gestion de la relation client, associées à une grande intelligence émotionnelle (EQ) et à la capacité d'instaurer un climat de confiance.Capacité avérée à identifier, entretenir et tirer parti de relations clés, ainsi qu'à transformer les actions de prospection ciblées en nouvelles relations clients, contribuant ainsi à la croissance de l'entreprise.Des compétences exceptionnelles en communication écrite et orale, avec la capacité d'expliquer des concepts financiers complexes de manière claire et assurée.Capacités avancées d'analyse et de résolution de problèmes, avec une approche proactive pour identifier et résoudre les difficultés des clients.Esprit d'initiative et grande autonomie, capable de travailler de manière indépendante tout en contribuant à la réussite de l'équipe (y compris en encadrant les collaborateurs juniors).Engagement en faveur de l'apprentissage continu, avec la volonté de développer une expertise spécialisée et de se construire une carrière à long terme dans le domaine des family offices.EXIGENCES EN MATIÈRE DE FORMATION :Le titre de CPA + CFA ou CIM, ou CFA + une certification en planification avancée (CFP, TEP, etc.) ou une expertise avérée est requis. Les certifications professionnelles doivent être en règle.Le candidat doit actuellement être titulaire d'une licence ou être éligible à l'obtention d'une licence de représentant-conseil auprès des commissions provinciales des valeurs mobilières concernées.De solides compétences en communication en anglais, tant à l'écrit qu'à l'oral, sont essentielles, car le candidat travaillera dans un premier temps presque exclusivement avec des clients anglophones ayant peu ou pas de maîtrise du français.The Principal at Corient will serve as a leader on a specialized team acting as the trusted advisor for ultra-high-net-worth clients. This individual will work directly with clients providing expert guidance on complex financial matters, with a primary focus on holistic wealth planning, tax strategy, and special projects.In addition to directly advising clients, the Principal will assist with growth efforts of the firm, through prospecting new clients,



cultivating a network of trusted advisors and participating in events as an ambassador of Corient.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:The Principal role is primarily responsible for:Serving as a relationship manager for ultra-high-net-worth clients, often taking ownership of the client relationship.Leading complex planning initiatives, with a primary emphasis on financial planning, tax strategy, estates, and investments, ensuring proactive and holistic management of client needs.Exercising sound judgment and maintaining strict discretion when handling sensitive information and client-related matters.Contribute to the firm's growth initiatives by actively participating in business development and prospecting efforts to support new client acquisition.Overseeing and cultivating relationships with external advisors, including tax professionals, investment advisors, legal counsel, bankers, and insurance providers.Developing and implementing tailored wealth strategies aligned with each client's goals, with a focus on long-term planning and wealth preservation.Managing ongoing financial reporting requirements, delivering customized reports and insights that reflect the unique requirements of each client.Coordinating accounting and tax compliance processes, working closely with accountants and lawyers to ensure accuracy and timeliness.Fostering a collaborative team environment by actively supporting colleagues, sharing knowledge, and contributing to collective problem‐solving.Leading and mentoring junior team members (Associates and Analysts), providing continuous feedback, career development support, and guidance to enhance performance and growth.RELEVANT BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:CPA or CFA designation with 10+ years of post-accreditation experience. CPA candidates must also hold a CFA or CIM and be eligible for registration as an Advising Representative with the applicable provincial securities commission. CFA candidates must additionally hold an advanced planning designation (e.G., CFP or TEP) or demonstrate advanced financial planning expertise.Proven ability to lead complex planning engagements, work collaboratively with external professionals, and guide clients towards well-informed decisions.Proven knowledge in the areas of financial planning (particularly tax planning) and investment strategy.Skilled in managing a wide range of special projects with a pragmatic, solutions-driven approach.A hands-on approach and willing to tackle all projects – both big and small and contribute meaningfully at every level.Strong project management skills, organization, and attention to detail.Exceptional client relationship management skills, with high emotional intelligence (EQ) and the ability to build trust.Demonstrated ability to identify, pursue, and leverage key relationships and convert targeted outreach into new client relationships, contributing to the growth of the business.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and confidently.Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identify and resolve client issues.Self-starter with a high level of initiative, capable of working independently while contributing to team success (including mentorship of junior staff).Commitment to continuous learning, with a desire to develop specialized expertise and build a long-term career in the family office space.
