We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Driver to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will operate various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to efficiently move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse. Your mechanical knowledge and expertise in warehouse distribution will ensure smooth operations, accurate order picking, and safe handling of inventory. Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to transport materials throughout the warehouse
- Perform heavy lifting tasks with proper technique to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assist with order picking processes by accurately selecting items based on shipping orders using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and other equipment to maintain mechanical integrity and report any issues promptly
- Use basic math skills to verify quantities, measurements, and inventory counts during handling and storage activities
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate the movement of goods for inbound deliveries and outbound shipments
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and other warehouse equipment in a distribution environment
- Mechanical knowledge sufficient to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance checks on machinery
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order processing and inventory control
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Solid attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory management
- Basic math skills for measurements, counting, and verifying shipments
- Valid forklift certification or licensing as required by local regulations is preferred
