Position: Assembly Labourer/Helper

Location: Kitchener, ON

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Salary: From $20-22.00 per hour

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Assembly Labourer to join our growing team in Kitchener, Ontario.

The ideal candidate has woodworking experience and working for a manufacturing organization.

Please note, this is not a sedentary position.

Candidates must be physically fit with the ability to lift a minimum 50 lbs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the onsite Supervisor at Distinctive Wood Products, the incumbent will be responsible for but not limited to the following tasks:

- Prepare and position cabinetry drawer parts for assembly.
- Ensure each component is fastened together correctly.
- Check connections and log any discrepancies.
- Read measurements, verify specifications, measure completed components and assemble the drawer to approved specifications.
- Performs various physical duties as assigned.
- Maintain all safety standards.
- Moves, secures, installs, builds, loads, or unloads materials.
- Performs some specialized tasks which may require on-the job training.
- Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment.
- Ensure regulated and proper headgear, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, and clothing are worn.
- Clean and transparent debris and hazardous materials.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Positive attitude and work ethics.




- Able to work independently or as an active team member.
- Wood working experience is an asset.
- Ability to read labels, safety warnings and guidelines.
- Attentive to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety.
- Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers.
- Ability to safely operate various vehicles and equipment.
