Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Support with medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Monitor clients’ health status,
report changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
- Assist with mobility aids and transfers to ensure safety during movement within the home or facility
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living environments or nursing homes is highly valued
- Strong background in senior care, including working with individuals with disabilities or dementia
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety standards
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with patience, compassion, and active listening abilities
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation efficiently
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and family members
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules in energetic care settings
