SGS Qualitest is seeking a qualified and motivated Structural Inspector to join our team in Nisku, Alberta. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a global leader in inspection, testing, and certification services, supporting a wide range of industrial and infrastructure projects.
Minimum Requirements
- CGSB MPI Level 2
- CWB Level 2 with CSA W.471/W59 endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of experience in inspection and NDT services
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle for travel to client sites
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction
Note: This position is a full time permanent position not a contract position.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural steel inspections in accordance with CSA W47.1, CSA W59, and applicable AWS standards
- Conduct visual inspection (VT) of welded and fabricated components to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and code requirements
- Execute Magnetic Particle Testing, where applicable
- Prepare detailed and accurate inspection and NDT reports with explicit traceability
- Perform third-party verification audit activities as required
- Support material testing laboratory operations during periods of lower field activity
- Execute additional duties as assigned by management to support operational needs
