Title: Device Management Consultant
Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (onsite)

Duration: 6 Months

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced consultant to design, configure, and support SAP IS-U Device Management solutions for utility operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in technical master data, meter lifecycle management, AMI/MDM integrations, and downstream billing readiness. The role includes supporting testing, data migration, cutover, and Hypercare while ensuring seamless integration across SAP IS-U modules.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP IS-U Device Management (DM), MDM, and EDM

- Experience with AMI integration and utility meter lifecycle processes preferred

- Design and configure SAP IS-U Device Management, including technical master data, installations, premises, and connection objects

- Configure and support AMI/MDM integration to ensure accurate meter data collection and processing

- Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), technical object data migration, cutover activities, and Hypercare support

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

- Experience integrating SAP IS-U Device Management with AMI,



MDM, and EDM platforms

- Knowledge of utility smart metering, interval data processing, and field service operations

- Experience supporting large-scale SAP IS-U implementation or transformation programs

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Design, configure, and maintain SAP IS-U Device Management solutions

- Manage technical master data for devices, registers, installations, premises, and connection objects

- Configure meter reading processes and support device lifecycle events

- Integrate SAP IS-U with AMI, MDUS, MDM, and EDM systems

- Develop functional specifications and interface mapping documents

- Collaborate with Billing, FI-CA, and other SAP IS-U functional teams to ensure billing readiness

- Support data migration of technical objects and validate migrated data

- Execute and support SIT, UAT, Cutover, and Hypercare activities

- Analyze and resolve meter reading, measurement, and billing issues

- Work closely with business users, technical teams, and external vendors to deliver high-quality SAP IS-U Device Management solutions
