The Role
Program, set up, operate, and tear down CNC mills and lathes (turning centers). Read blueprints, hold tight tolerances, perform quality checks, maintain equipment.
Core Duties
- CNC programming (G-code and/or CAD/CAM – Gibbs or similar)
- Machine setup and teardown per job requirements
- Blueprint reading and interpretation
- Precision measurement and quality verification
- Routine operator maintenance and 6S compliance
Requirements
Must Have
- Previous experience in a CNC machining role (mills/lathes)
- CNC programming ability (G-code, CAD/CAM)
- Blueprint reading proficiency
- Precision measurement skills
Nice to Have
Red Seal certification
Other
- Basic math skills
- Self-starter, able to work independently
- Willing to cross-train on multiple machines
- Able to lift heavy objects, stand/walk/bend for extended periods
- Team-oriented with effective verbal communication
