About Global Village English Centres

Global Village has been a trusted and globally recognized English school for over 20 years and currently has two excellent campuses in Canada. We are highly accredited and have excellent pathways to University courses to help English learners get into high quality post-secondary institutions. Our classes range from General English studies, to English for Business or University, to private lessons and English test preparation for accreditation plus more!

Qualifications

Accredited by Alberta Education, Languages Canada and B.C. Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unity (PTIRU), Global Village requires all instructors to teach in office at either the Calgary or Victoria school and to possess the following credentials:

- University Degree from a recognized university
- Approved TESL Training Certification with supervised practicum (min 120-hour course)




- Confidence and enthusiasm for incorporating technology into the classroom
- Preference will be given to those with at least 1-2 years of experience teaching multicultural ESL/EAL classes, but is not a necessity
- Ability to produce a clean police record check upon offer
- Ability to sign a Declaration of Suitability to Work with Minors upon offer
