The Finance Operations Coordinator contributes to E3's day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing and expense administration. This transactional, detail-oriented role helps ensure financial information is processed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with organizational policies, funding requirements and legislative obligations.

Working across multiple programs and funding streams, the Coordinator maintains accurate coding and documentation, supports sound financial controls and serves as E3's purchasing coordinator. The role is well suited to someone who values accuracy, collaboration and continuous learning and who wants to grow their knowledge across finance operations over time.

Role Status

This position is open due to an existing position vacancy and role restructure.

What You Will Do

- Process and support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoices, receipts, postings, payment preparation, vendor maintenance, payment inquiries, account follow-up and reconciliation support.
- Maintain accurate financial records in Sage Intacct and support Concur expense claims and corporate credit card reconciliations.
- Assist with account reconciliations, month-end documentation, financial coding and supporting information required for analysis and reporting.
- Coordinate purchasing activities in accordance with E3 policies, the Broader Public Sector Accountability Act and applicable funding requirements.
- Review approved purchasing requests, obtain quotations, coordinate procurement documentation and support competitive purchasing processes where required.
- Maintain vendor, purchasing and audit documentation that supports transparency, compliance and audit readiness.
- Provide timely, professional support to employees and vendors regarding accounts payable, purchasing, expenses and financial procedures.
- Participate in cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen financial workflows, controls and service delivery.

Key Skills and Capabilities

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

- Post-secondary education in accounting, business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.




- A minimum of three years of full-cycle accounting experience.
- Experience with accounting and expense-management systems; Sage Intacct and Concur experience are preferred.
- Robust Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization and data accuracy, with the ability to manage volume and competing deadlines.
- Sound judgment, problem-solving skills and a high level of discretion when handling confidential financial information.
- A team-oriented and service-focused approach, with clear and professional communication skills.
- Experience in a not-for-profit, government-funded or public-sector environment, or experience coordinating purchasing or procurement, is considered an asset.
- A satisfactory background check.

Working Conditions and Expectations

This role includes the following working conditions:

- Work location: Collingwood, Ontario.
- Schedule: Full time, with regular weekday business hours.
- Work environment: Primarily office-based, with sustained computer work and regular interaction with employees, vendors and external partners.
- Travel requirements: Occasional local travel for meetings, training or operational needs.

Compensation

The expected annual salary range for this role is $53,248 to $60,611. Placement within the range will be based on demonstrated skills, relevant experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.
