The Purchasing Coordinator plays an important role at Eastcut. In this role, you will be working in a fast-paced procurement environment, responsible for the effective and continuous flow of production at Eastcut. Your role will serve as a vital link between our structural and modular projects. This role will be crucial in ensuring that our projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality of standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist the Purchasing Manager with multi-million dollar construction materials procurement
- Collaborate with specialized vendor base to keep projects moving efficiently and on schedule
- Perform detailed product research including special and custom orders
- Continual communication with all internal production teams relating to material purchasing
- Collaborating with the Purchasing Manager, negotiate in confidence with vendors, maintaining discretion and ensuring integrity




- Work with Logistics & Warehousing team as required

REQUIREMENTS

- Degree or Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, or Construction Management, or significant relevant experience
- Experience in procurement, preferably in construction, finished goods and/or hardware products
- Highly organized, detail focused
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, a customer service focus, and a professional demeanor
- Sound knowledge of mathematics, with understanding of gross margin and mark-up calculations
- A strong understanding of MS Office Suite (Excel and Outlook)
- Experience with ERP software (ProCore, Acumatica) considered an asset
- Ability to work independently, and be part of a collaborative team
