Enhance youth development as a Contract Youth Program Facilitator with Trellis. Create engaging programming that fosters emotional learning and community ties.
The role focuses on facilitating after-school clubs that promote social skills and empowerment among youth. This part-time contract, effective until June 2027, seeks individuals who can deliver programs with a strength-based and culturally informed approach, ensuring inclusivity and support for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop youth engagement strategies for group programming
• Provide a protected space for skill-building and social interaction
• Facilitate programs with a focus on trauma responsiveness
• Connect with families and community support systems
• Engage with committees contributing to the Youth Strategy
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field
• Experience working with youth (2-5 years preferred)
• Strong understanding of diversity issues and communication
• Current certification in First Aid CPR
• Successful completion of criminal background checks
