- Hiring a Solution Architect (Salesforce & AWS Cloud Services, and Insurance/Financial Services domain) .

Requirement Summary

- Job Role/Title : Solution Architect (Salesforce & AWS Cloud Services)
- Anticipated Start Date : 4 weeks from offer (pending background checks)
- Job Type : Contract Opportunity. Initial contract for 1 year
- Job Location : Toronto, ON / London, ON / Winnipeg, MB.
- Work Style : Hybrid Work - 3 days per week in the office required (Tuesday and Thursday are mandatory).
- Work Hours : 37.5 hours/week, typically Monday-Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Contractor to work extra time or be on-call : Yes, may require support overtime as needed.
- Rate : Up to $100/Hr. (on Incorp).
- Reliability Clearance :Yes

NOTE:

- Successful personnel must have an active Reliability Status Security Clearance / be willing to undergo the Security Clearance process
- Eligibility Criteria: The consultant must be a resident of Canada for at least 5+ years to be eligible to apply for the client's Reliability Status Security Clearance.

Must-Have Skills for this Role

- Define integration patterns and best practices for Salesforce, Amazon Connect, and enterprise applications.
- Hands-on expertise in AWS services supporting Amazon Connect integrations, including Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, IAM, S3, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP); AWS and Salesforce certifications are considered an asset.
- Experience with technologies such as Java, SQL,.NET, Salesforce Platform, and AWS.

Position Overview

We are looking to hire a contractor Solution Architect for our Technology Enablement Platform team.

Architect & Deliver Meaningful Solutions

- Design end-to-end solution architectures that align business goals, customer needs, and enterprise strategy.
- Develop architecture artifacts (diagrams, decision records, models) that clearly define both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate complex business and technology challenges into simple, scalable, and sustainable solutions.
- Architect customer service and contact center solutions.
- Collaborate closely with peers to design scalable solutions that accommodate future architectural changes.

Lead Technical Direction

- Own the technical vision and solution roadmap in collaboration with Enterprise and Portfolio Architecture.
- Guide teams through architecturally significant decisions,



balancing innovation with practicality.
- Ensure solutions meet security, reliability, scalability, and performance standards.
- Define integration patterns and best practices for Salesforce, Amazon Connect, and enterprise applications.
- Identify and introduce emerging technologies and best practices that deliver measurable business value.
- Continuously improve delivery through automation, reusable components, and platform capabilities.
- Lead modernization initiatives focused on enhancing customer and advisor experiences through integrated CRM and contact center platforms.
- Partner with business leaders, product owners, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver aligned outcomes.
- Act as a trusted advisor, communicating complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Build strong relationships across teams, vendors, and platform partners, including Salesforce and AWS.
- Collaborate with customer service, operations, and digital teams to optimize customer interaction workflows and experiences.

- Mentor developers and engineers on architecture, design patterns, integration strategies, and best practices.

Qualifications and Key Skillset for this Role

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in complex IT environments, particularly in architecture, application development, and integration.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in cloud solution architecture and design, with a strong understanding of Enterprise Design Patterns.
- Solid experience designing and implementing solutions on the Salesforce platform, including Salesforce Service Cloud.
- Experience architecting and implementing Amazon Connect contact center solutions, including voice, chat, routing, agent workspace, and omnichannel customer engagement capabilities.




- Experience designing and supporting integrations between Salesforce Service Cloud Voice (SCV) and Amazon Connect, including CTI integrations, call controls, screen pops, call recording, real-time transcription, and agent experience optimization.
- Experience designing enterprise integrations using APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence technical decisions across multiple teams and priorities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Expertise in producing clear architecture artifacts (e.g., diagrams, decision records, solution designs, and integration patterns).
- A preference for simplicity and an ability to challenge technical constraints through iterative and Agile approaches.
- Strong analytical skills to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail across a range of contexts.
- Proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships across geographies, business functions, and vendors.
- Self-starter with the ability to comfortably operate in ambiguity.
- Experience in financial services, insurance, or a similarly complex and regulated industry.
- Experience aligning architecture with business goals and IT strategy in collaboration with delivery and infrastructure teams.
- Leadership experience guiding cross-functional technology teams (BA, Development, QA, Product, and Operations) using best practices and standards.
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce Service Cloud, Service Cloud Voice (SCV), Case Management, Omni-Channel Routing, Knowledge Management, and Digital Engagement capabilities.
- Experience integrating Salesforce Service Cloud Voice with Amazon Connect using CTI adapters and supporting AWS services.
- Experience with customer contact center technologies, including IVR, call routing, workforce optimization, conversational AI, and digital engagement channels.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Git, Bitbucket, and DevOps pipelines.
- Familiarity with architecture modeling languages and frameworks (UML, ArchiMate, TOGAF, etc.).
- Understanding of architecture disciplines across Business, Information (Data), Application, Technology, and Security.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and understanding of Agile principles.
- Knowledge of continuous architecture and value stream approaches to business solutions.
