Are you an experienced Planner and Scheduler with 10+ years of expertise in Commercial, Industrial, and Residential projects? Join our Building Construction Team in Toronto & Ottawa and contribute your skills to deliver complex projects in Ontario! Essential Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and oversee resource-loaded master schedules for large, complex construction projects using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar scheduling software. Lead portfolio-level schedule integration to ensure alignment with business objectives, financial targets, and project priorities. Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to integrate all project phases, milestones, and dependencies into cohesive project schedules. Apply Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques to optimize timelines, resource allocation, and workflow efficiency. Conduct schedule risk assessments, identify potential delays and bottlenecks, and implement mitigation and recovery plans. Monitor project performance against baseline schedules, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions to maintain project delivery targets. Prepare and present schedule updates, forecasts, dashboards, and executive-level reports that communicate project performance, trends, and risks. Ensure schedules align with contractual requirements, procurement activities, cost controls, cash flow forecasts, and organizational objectives. Partner with Operations, Estimating, Legal, and Project Controls teams to support bids, claims management, delay analysis, and time extension requests. Advise senior leadership on strategic resource planning, schedule optimization, critical path trade-offs, and schedule-driven financial decisions. Lead schedule audits and health checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, compliance, and adherence to best practices. Mentor, coach, and develop schedulers and planners across the region, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Standardize scheduling processes, tools,
and reporting methodologies across projects to drive consistency and operational excellence. Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for complex scheduling challenges, providing technical guidance and innovative solutions to project teams. Champion proactive risk management by identifying scheduling risks and opportunities early to improve project outcomes and execution efficiency. Qualifications
10+ years of project scheduling and planning experience within the construction industry. 4+ years of leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience managing schedulers/planners. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. Strong expertise in construction sequencing, Critical Path Method (CPM), resource management, and project controls. Proficiency with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and develop detailed schedules based on sequencing requirements. Experience in infrastructure, commercial, or industrial construction projects is preferred. Work Conditions
Office based role with occasional travel to sites within the GTA and Ottawa Compensation
Compensation $147,600.00 - $196,800.00 This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
