As a Family Counsellor, your expertise will play a crucial role in addressing parent-teen conflicts and improving family relationships. With a focus on trauma-informed practices and communication strategies, you will work collaboratively with families referred by the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Your intervention methods will aid in de-escalating tensions and restoring safety while ensuring explicit documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide advocacy and counselling to families in conflict
• Develop individual service plans tailored to participant needs




• Facilitate group sessions for participants and families
• Liaise with social workers and professionals for holistic support
• Maintain comprehensive case files and documentation
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Counseling Psychology or related field
• 3 years of relevant family counselling experience
• Strong skills in assessment and crisis intervention
• Understanding of youth mental health and trauma
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle needed
