Big Country Equipment is seeking Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians for their operations in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment, primarily for mining and construction clients. The company offers paid flights from anywhere in Canada and provides company housing at no cost. Ideal candidates are experienced, safety-focused, and ready to work a 14/14 rotation in a dynamic workplace.

What You’ll Need





- Minimum 3 years recent experience with off-road construction and mining equipment
- Experience with mining equipment required
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Off-Road Technician and Red Seal certification
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs comfortably
- Pass criminal record check and 8-panel drug/alcohol test
- Provide 2 direct supervisor references and a clean 5-year driver’s abstract
- No subcontractor roles available

What Will Make You Stand Out

- Experience working out of a service truck
- Experience with Hitachi, Komatsu, CAT, and John Deere machines
- Experience with surface drills, electric and hydraulic shovels
