The City of Surrey is seeking a Natural Area Practitioner for a full-time position dedicated to overseeing junior staff, coordinating schedules, and handling public service requests. This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and physical capability, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and review work of junior staff
• Assist with scheduling and efficient task execution
• Respond to public service requests promptly
• Prepare reports and maintain detailed records
• Complete heavy physical work in diverse weather conditions
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years in natural area management
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
• BC Driver's license with secure driving record
• B.C. Pesticide Applicator Certificate required
• Diploma from an approved post-secondary institution
