We are an inclusive organization that understands that delivering great results comes out of ensuring every voice is heard.About the RoleWe’re looking for a Product Owner, Merchandising to lead the development, delivery, and optimization of merchandising applications and data systems. In this role, you’ll own key platforms like our Merchandising Ticket System, drive continuous improvement, and ensure alignment with business objectives. You’ll lead major initiatives such as GS1 integration and PIM system sourcing, manage Agile processes, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external partners. Additionally, you’ll oversee QA/UAT practices to ensure product quality and user readiness, while managing master data responsibilities to maintain accuracy and service levels across merchandising operations.About your DayLead the strategic ownership of the Help Centre (Merchandising Ticket System), ensuring it evolves to meet the changing needs of the business.Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for Merchandising applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.Oversee the full lifecycle of merchandising solutions—from ideation to implementation—ensuring timely delivery of impactful business outcomes.Champion the product vision, clearly communicating goals,
progress, and value to internal teams and external partners.Manage Agile processes, including backlog prioritization, user story documentation, and acceptance criteria for product enhancements.Collaborate cross‑functionally, maintaining solid relationships with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external partners like GS1.Monitor performance and trends, using KPIs and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.Lead the GS1 Integration project, overseeing planning, execution, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful implementation of global data standards.Drive the business case, selection, and implementation of a Product Information Management (PIM) system, ensuring alignment with operational needs and long‑term strategy.Establish project timelines and deliverables, ensuring milestones are met and risks are proactively managed.Provide clear, consistent updates to leadership and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.Define and lead business‑focused testing and quality assurance processes for new merchandising tools and enhancements.Promote a culture of quality and accountability across teams.Ensure timely issue resolution and clear escalation paths for business‑critical problems.Develop and deliver training materials to support user adoption and operational readiness.Take end‑to‑end ownership of one of our Top 10 Licensed Providers,
acting as their primary operational and merchandising partner.Responsible for item creation and updates for the Licensed Provider.Management of Licensed Provider Tickets and Email Requests.Maintaining Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators for Licensed Provider.About You2+ years of experience in related field.Bachelor's in business or related field.Strong background working with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum).Basic toolset knowledge, Jira and Confluence.Basic knowledge of product development, familiarity with concepts such as user stories, acceptance criteria, product life cycle, continuous improvement and delivery.Microsoft Suite experience.Organizational knowledge of GS1.Board knowledge of PIM (Product Information Management) solutions in the industry.Ambitious, Pro‑Active, Assertive, Confident, Self‑Starter, and Enthusiastic.About the JobHours of Work: 36.25 a weekEmployment Type: Full‑Time, Permanent (Bargaining Unit Role; Represented by OPSEU)Required Travel: Rare, usually within the GTAApplication Deadline: January 20, 2026 at 11:59PM ESTCompensationThe target hiring range for this position is $84,835 -$88,000. This is a pay grade 8 BU role, with a salary range of $84,835 - $103,687.
