As a Youth Worker within this 8-month contract, you'll supervise clients aged 12-18 while leveraging a strengths-based approach. Key duties involve assessing mental health needs, overseeing life skills programming, and engaging with families to foster resilience and inclusion among youth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish therapeutic relationships ensuring a safe workplace
• Provide direct supervision and client care services
• Assess mental health needs through trauma-informed practices
• Implement recreational and life skills programming
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate client records
Requirements:
• Degree/Diploma in Child and Youth Work or equivalent
• At least one year of relevant experience
• Skills in communication, organization, and conflict resolution
• Valid First Aid/CPR and UMAB certifications
• Ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team
