We provide consulting, projects and operations solutions in 60 countries, employing around 35,000 people.OverviewWe are currently looking for an experienced structural engineer with a strong background in heavy industrial projects—including Bio Products, Oil & Gas, and Pulp & Paper facilities—to join our Vancouver, BC office. The successful candidate will provide technical and leadership support from concept through detailed design, construction support, and commissioning. This is a hybrid role.The RoleAs a senior structural engineer, you will lead projects, manage discipline budget and schedule, coordinate with multi‑disciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and engage directly with clients to ensure project objectives related to safety, quality, schedule, and cost are achieved.ResponsibilitiesLead projects, including management of discipline budget, schedule, progress and changes.Attend client and project meetings at office and job sites.Prepare manhour estimates and execution plans for proposals.Supervise, direct,



and authenticate the work of engineers.Execute projects to meet client needs and expectations.Complete structural design and analysis to applicable codes and standards.Perform structural steel and concrete design.Prepare technical reports and calculation packages as project deliverables.Check other engineers' designs and collaborate on design deliverables.Review project documents prior to issue for scope and presentation.Authenticate structural engineering deliverables.Interface with other disciplines and project management to execute work per the Project Plan.Work with the workshare team from other Wood global offices.Work in compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations for Wood and its clients.Conduct field reviews at project work sites.QualificationsLegally able to work in Canada at the time of application.Graduate or Undergraduate Engineering Degree in Engineering.Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with EGBC or APEGA.Minimum 15 years of relevant EPC experience in structural design.Broad experience designing structures in Oil & Gas and Pulp & Paper projects.In‑depth knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada (Alberta Edition).Strong background and experience in structural steel and reinforced concrete design.Comprehensive knowledge of the requirements of CSA S16 and CSA A23.3.Proficiency in modeling and analysis using SAP2000, RISA 3D,
