Take on the role of District Scaling Officer with the Timber Pricing & Authorizations Team in Vernon, BC. Engage in essential timber scale inspections and contribute to accurate pricing and authorizations.
In this position, you will work in tandem with another Scaling Officer, conducting inspections and check scales while resolving data issues. Your involvement will help secure the integrity of the provincial scaling system, reducing financial risks and ensuring proper billing of Crown timber. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform site inspections for timber scaling
• Execute check scales and address data anomalies
• Support the district’s waste and residue efforts
• Work collaboratively with district teams
• Maintain thorough records of scaling activities
Requirements:
• Must have a valid Scaler Licence with endorsements
• Required BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence or equivalent
• Experience in scaling operations is essential
• Interior Scaling experience preferred
