Position: Senior Human Resources Business Partner
Southbridge Health Care LP owns and operates 26 Long-Term Care Homes and 8 Retirement Homes throughout many urban and rural areas of Ontario. Southbridge Health Care LP is seeking a Senior Human Resources Partner to deliver support and expertise to our Corporate office and leaders of our LTC and Retirement homes. Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources - Labour Relations, the individual will demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and passion for seniors care by delivering high-quality leadership support to our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Guide and provide advice to our team of HR Business Partners (HRBP’s), ensuring they are supported in delivering high-quality HR services across the organization.
- Partner with business leaders to understand organizational goals and develop HR strategies that support achievement.
- Collaborate across departments to deliver effective solutions in areas such as talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, learning and development, and employee engagement.
- Drive the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and talent development planning.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a culture of belonging and respect.
- Act as a change agent by providing guidance and support to managers and employees during periods of change.
- Oversee the design and implementation of training programs that address company-wide learning needs, including leadership development, compliance training, and skills enhancement.
- Analyze HR metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement,
providing actionable insights to drive decision-making.
- Manage workplace issues and conflicts, including human rights and harassment, and conduct workplace investigations.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of people systems, processes, and practices, shaping and driving projects to address any gaps or risks.
- Ensure compliance with WSIB legislation, and conduct reporting on key performance indicators related to health and safety.
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of the compensation structure, ensuring alignment with business objectives, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and manage the growth aspects of HR, including succession planning and the development of mentoring programs to build future leadership capabilities.
- Stay current with HR trends, laws, and regulations, ensuring compliance and recommending updates to policies and procedures as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a post-secondary diploma is an asset.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a Business Partner or similar role.
- Proven track record of building strong relationships with stakeholders and influencing business outcomes.
- Solid understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- CHRL designation is an asset.
