Minimum Qualifications Diploma/Degree/Masters in a Human Services or related field from an accredited College or University Has relevant skills and experiences directly relevant to the job specification Knowledge of Youth Justice programs and services Knowledge of all relevant legislation, including the Child and Youth Family Services Act and Youth Criminal Justice Act. Must provide a clear Police Broad Records Check (Criminal Reference Check) Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence (Class G) with a safe driving record Solid oral/written communication skills Computer competency (Microsoft Office) French language is an asset Overview of Responsibilities/Duties Reports directly and is accountable to the Executive Director Acts as a leader in the operations and in the role of Executive Director when assigned Promotes and manages Strategic Plan goals – Building Strengths,



Building Futures Responsible for the overall management and security of the operations for the specific site location in accordance with the Children, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA), Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA), and all other applicable legislation. Participates in the recruitment, hiring and retention of all employees. Maintain an environment that promotes effective working relations with unionized and non-unionized employees. Understand, implement and follow all articles in the Collective Agreement. Maintain community relations, liaise with other children and youth serving agencies and related services. Understand and enforce health and safety laws and regulations. Financial accountability for all expenditures within operating budgets.
